Moment to Moment Awareness
Carving with Care
Quiet Inspiration
Carving with Awareness.
Carving with Compassion.
Carving with Focus.
Carving with Concentration.
Carving with Flow.

We engage thoughtfully with what we are doing. The way we condition and soften the clay with our hands. Holding it, cradling it, taking care of it. The way we shape and sculpt, cut and carve, design and detail... We tune into the subtleties of our movements and emotions. We observe where the tools seem to want to move. We observe where our thoughts seem to want to go. And we meet there. We quiet and experiment. We discover. What is being inspired this moment?
Wild Whittling
Time Best Spent.
We close our eyes, and engage our senses. We take slow, deep breaths and feel air coming in through our noses, filling our lungs ... Ahhh.
We pick a stick. We feel it. We notice its characteristics. We connect to its Spirit, its Magic, its HeART.

We work. Periods of stillness. Periods of concentration. We trust our eye. We trust our hands. We feel the way the wood reacts to our tools... gliding, slipping, smoothing. We relax the best way we know how. We scrape, we shape, we sand... And somehow everything thick and heavy is peeled away.
